New Delhi/Ranchi: Jharkhand's pavilion remained a major attraction on the third day of Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, with its innovative bamboo-based products drawing widespread appreciation from visitors, international buyers and industry leaders.
Stealing the spotlight were bamboo-finished stainless steel bottles and mugs developed by the Anjaneya Bamboo Cluster of Baharagora in East Singhbhum district. Blending traditional bamboo craftsmanship with modern design and functionality, the products showcase how sustainable materials can be transformed into premium lifestyle items.
The insulated bottle, made from bamboo and stainless steel, can keep beverages hot or cold for 12 to 14 hours, while the bamboo-and-steel mug, equipped with a food-grade plastic lid, maintains temperature for three to four hours. Their stylish appearance, durability and eco-friendly features have made them one of the most talked-about exhibits at the event.
The exhibition is also highlighting Jharkhand's growing presence in the global textile and handicrafts market. Through its display of Tasar silk, GI-tagged products, handloom items, handicrafts and bamboo innovations, the state is reinforcing its commitment to the "Local to Global" vision while creating new business opportunities for local artisans and entrepreneurs.
The Anjaneya Bamboo Cluster is playing a key role in modernising Jharkhand's traditional bamboo craft by combining skilled craftsmanship with advanced technologies such as laser cutting, laser engraving, CNC routing and customised design solutions. The cluster produces a wide range of decorative items, furniture and lifestyle products that meet international quality standards.
With more than 6,000 overseas buyers from over 130 countries and over 1.3 lakh business visitors attending Bharat Tex 2026, the event is providing a valuable international platform for Jharkhand's MSMEs, artisans and startups. The participation is expected to strengthen exports, attract fresh investments and enhance the global visibility of the state's handcrafted and bamboo-based products.
