A tragic road accident on the Deoghar-Dumka main road near Dumaria under Mohanpur police station limits on Thursday claimed the lives of two young men riding a motorcycle. The incident plunged the area into grief, while the victims' families were left devastated by the sudden loss.The deceased were identified as 25-year-old Pradeep Kumar Bauri of Suthania village and 22-year-old Bablu Kumar Singh of Latiyatari village, both under Mohanpur police station limits. According to local sources, the two were travelling to Mohanpur market on a Pulsar motorcycle when a speeding and allegedly uncontrolled pickup van rammed into their bike near Dumaria.
The impact of the collision was severe, leaving both riders critically injured. They succumbed to their injuries at the scene before help could arrive. Following the accident, the pickup van driver fled the spot with the vehicle.Police from Mohanpur police station reached the site after receiving information and initiated an investigation.
