
Deoghar: Students of Geeta Devi DAV Public School, Bhandarkola delivered an outstanding performance at the DAV National Sports Competition, winning a total of 23 medals and bringing pride to the school, parents and the region. The competition was held across major cities including Delhi, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Haridwar and Raipur, where the students secured 15 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals, showcasing their talent at the national level. The participants displayed discipline, dedication and remarkable sporting skills amid tough competition. Students excelled in events like volleyball, kho-kho, taekwondo and wushu, earning multiple medals. In volleyball, Gyandeep Samrat, Amit Kumar, Prashant Kumar, Aditya Kumar, Himanshu Kumar and Satyam Gaurav won gold medals. In kho-kho, Om Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar, Roshan Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and Satyam Kumar secured gold medals. In taekwondo, Soumya Bhardwaj, Sonu Kumar and Anmol Kumar clinched gold medals, while Vishal Kumar won a gold medal in wushu.A felicitation ceremony was organized in the school campus to honor the achievers. Principal Mohammad Mustafa Majid awarded certificates and medals to all the winners. He stated that this success is the result of the students’ hard work, guidance of coaches and continuous support from parents. He also motivated the players to aim higher and wished them a bright future.The entire school witnessed a sense of pride and celebration following this achievement. Other students were encouraged to take inspiration from the winners and actively participate in sports. The school management expressed gratitude to all players, coaches and supporting teachers, and hoped that the students would continue to perform excellently in future as well.
