Dead Body Recovered Near Culvert Under Dumka Jasidih Overbridge, Tension Grips Area

Deoghar. A wave of panic spread across the area after the body of a young man was recovered from near a culvert under the Dumka–Jasidih overbridge on Wednesday. Soon after the discovery, a large crowd gathered at the spot, creating a tense situation.
On receiving information, the local police reached the scene and took control of the situation. The body was taken into custody following necessary legal procedures. In the preliminary identification, the deceased has been recognized as Vinod Rajak, a resident of Badnattila. The body has been sent to Deoghar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.Deoghar Municipal Corporation Mayor Ravi Raut and Deputy Mayor Tip Chatterjee also visited the spot after being informed about the incident. They inspected the area and took stock of the situation. The Mayor termed the incident deeply unfortunate and said that the matter requires a thorough police investigation from all possible angles.
He further stated that similar incidents have been reported earlier in this area, making it a sensitive location. He urged the police administration to strengthen surveillance in the region and take strict action against anti-social elements. Police officials said that a detailed investigation is underway. The exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report. For now, the case is being treated as suspicious and all angles are being examined.
