Ranchi: Leading business networking group BNI Diamonds conducted a large-scale cleanliness drive at the historic Marsalli Hill, aiming to bring the “internationally admired beauty” of the site back to life in the city.
Over 100 participants, including 40–45 families, enthusiastically joined the initiative, with ages ranging from 2 to 65 years, making it a true family and community effort. During the drive, waste equivalent to three tractor loads was collected and scientifically disposed of.
Once popular during lockdown for cycling, yoga, and nature walks, Marsalli Hill had lost its charm due to littering and neglect, leading to reduced visitor footfall. BNI Diamonds’ campaign represents a significant step toward restoring cleanliness and attractiveness to this historic site.
The event concluded with a Rudrabhishek ritual at the ancient Shiva temple on the hill, followed by a community meal prepared by local families. Team Green provided special support throughout the initiative. Donations were also made for temple development to strengthen local religious and cultural structures.
This initiative by BNI Diamonds not only promotes cleanliness but also sets an example of collective awareness and preservation of local heritage.
