Two women and one man held, weapons and vehicles recovered in Deoghar case

Deoghar. Police have cracked a sensational murder case reported from Thadhi village under Rikhiya police station area, arresting three accused involved in the crime. The incident had created panic in the locality, but police claim to have solved the case with swift action.
According to information, on March 16, police received input about a headless body found at Devan Baba ground. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a case was registered at Rikhiya police station and investigation was initiated immediately. On the directions of SP Saurabh, a Special Investigation Team was formed under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sadar.The team carried out technical and forensic examination at the crime scene and identified the deceased. During the course of investigation, police arrested two women and one man involved in the crime.
Based on their disclosure, police recovered two scooters, one car used in the crime, a sharp weapon, the victim’s mobile phone and a blood-stained cap. The arrested accused have been identified as Babita Devi alias Payal Singh from Baijnathpur, Payal Raut from Karnibagh and Sanjeev Kumar alias Jhagru from Karnibagh.
Police said all three were involved in executing the murder. They have been taken into custody and sent to judicial remand. The operation involved teams from Rikhiya, Kunda and Mohanpur police stations along with officers from the investigation wing.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway and efforts are being made to ascertain the motive behind the crime.
