Mayor Conducts Surprise Inspection at Deoghar Dumping Yard, Finds Serious Lapses

Deoghar: Mayor Ravi Raut on Monday conducted a surprise inspection of the municipal dumping yard located at Pachhiyari Kothi. During the inspection, the mayor expressed strong dissatisfaction over the poor condition of the facility and termed the situation extremely alarming. He said the state of the dumping yard raises serious questions about the functioning of the municipal system.

During the inspection, large heaps of garbage were found piled up across the dumping yard, while no effective arrangement for proper disposal was visible. Several machines meant for waste processing were found lying non-functional, which has almost brought garbage management work to a standstill. The CCTV camera installed near the weighing machine used to measure garbage was also found inactive, raising concerns over transparency in the entire process.
Warning of action against negligence

The mayor said that negligence on the part of the contractor company MSWM Deoghar Pvt Ltd, which is responsible for operating the dumping yard, along with the officials assigned for monitoring the site, has led to the collapse of the system. He also observed that several garbage transportation vehicles were lying in a dilapidated condition, indicating neglect and misuse of municipal resources.The mayor stated that municipal resources belong to the citizens and any kind of negligence or misuse will not be tolerated. He directed the concerned officials to immediately restore proper arrangements and warned that strict action would be taken against those found responsible.He further said that the municipal corporation is committed to keeping Deoghar clean and well organized. Necessary steps will be taken soon to improve the condition of the dumping yard and make the waste disposal system more effective so that the cleanliness of the city can be maintained and residents do not face inconvenience.
