A meeting was held on Thursday in the Collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra to review the preparations for the nationwide Women’s Public Hearing program scheduled on March 13 under the initiative of the National Commission for Women titled National Commission for Women at Your Doorstep.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner issued necessary instructions to concerned officials for the successful organization of the program. He said the main objective of the initiative is to provide a safe platform for women of the district where they can present their complaints and problems directly before the National Commission for Women.Cases related to domestic violence, harassment at the workplace, dowry harassment and violations of women’s legal rights will be heard during the public hearing. The initiative is expected to help women receive timely assistance and justice.
As part of the program, a workshop on anti-human trafficking will also be organized on March 13. In addition, a She Serves program will be held on March 14 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Shilpgram, Nandan Pahad in Deoghar.The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to complete all necessary arrangements in advance so that the program can be conducted smoothly and a maximum number of women in the district can benefit from it.Municipal Commissioner Rohit Sinha, District Transport Officer Shailesh Priyadarshi, District Public Relations Officer Rahul Kumar Bharti, District Land Acquisition Officer Amar Kumar, Traffic Incharge Laxman Prasad, District Sports Officer Santosh Kumar, District Education Superintendent Madhukar Kumar, along with circle officers of all blocks and other concerned officials, were present in the meeting.
