Ranchi: Union Minister of State for Defence and Member of Parliament from Ranchi Sanjay Seth cast his vote on Saturday during the Ranchi Municipal Elections 2026. He reached Polling Booth No. 11 in Ward No. 33 and took part in the democratic exercise.
Speaking after voting, Seth questioned the existing voting arrangement, noting that ballots for mayoral candidates and ward councillors were being deposited in a single ballot box. According to him, this could lead to difficulties during the counting process, and he emphasised that the election system needs to be made more efficient.
He also mentioned that voting with his family has been a long-standing tradition for him, but this time he had to vote alone since his wife’s polling station was located at a different booth about a kilometre away.
Amid these developments, voting enthusiasm is visible among citizens in Ranchi, with people participating in large numbers in the democratic process. The administration is now awaiting responses and clarifications regarding the issues raised over the conduct of the elections.
