
Ranchi - An all-party meeting was convened in Ranchi on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming Budget Session of the Jharkhand Assembly, scheduled to commence on Wednesday. During the meeting, Speaker Rabindranath Mahato called upon leaders from all political parties to work together to ensure the House functions without disruptions.
He emphasised that effective solutions to public concerns can emerge only through reasoned, fact-based, and constructive deliberations within the Assembly. The Speaker also expressed confidence that the government would furnish detailed and satisfactory responses to the queries raised by members.
Mahato informed that all departments have been instructed to complete preparatory work in advance to facilitate smooth proceedings. Officials have been directed to provide accurate information, honour commitments made on the Assembly floor, and keep the Secretariat duly informed.
Earlier, he reviewed session arrangements with senior state officials, directing departments to ensure the attendance of senior officers so ministers can access real-time information while replying to questions.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated after the meeting that the government is fully prepared for the session and that key suggestions were discussed collectively. Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore highlighted the importance of interdepartmental coordination and systematic presentation of proposals.
Among those present were Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav, RJD Legislature Party leader Suresh Paswan, and AJSU MLA Nirmal Mahto. Discussions also focused on security measures, administrative preparedness, documentation, and departmental accountability to ensure orderly conduct of the session.
