D.C Naman Priyesh Lakra Reviews Preparations for Shiv Baraat

Deoghar. Ahead of the Mahashivratri festival, the district administration on Tuesday reviewed preparations for the smooth conduct of the Shiv Baraat to be taken out by the Tourism Department. In this connection, DC Naman Priyesh Lakra conducted a field inspection of the Shiv Baraat route, focusing on law and order, security arrangements and other essential facilities.During the inspection, the D.C reviewed preparations at KKN Stadium and inspected key stretches of the Shiv Baraat route, including Fawara Chowk, Tower Chowk, Azad Chowk and Bajla Chowk. He directed the concerned departments to level all potholes along the route, repair damaged slabs, remove encroachments and ensure proper cleaning of drains. Instructions were also given to install barricading along the roadsides to ensure safety, so that the movement of tableaux during the procession does not face any obstruction.Giving priority to the convenience and safety of devotees, the DC instructed officials of the Municipal Corporation, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Fire Services and Electricity Department to complete all works on time through mutual coordination. He further directed that the entire route be inspected 24 hours prior to the Shiv Baraat and that a physical verification of electricity and telephone wires be carried out to eliminate any technical shortcomings.During the inspection, various aspects related to law and order, security and traffic management were discussed in detail. The D.C issued necessary directions to officials, executive engineers and police officers, stressing that all preparations must be completed well in time.
On the occasion, the Deputy Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer Deoghar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, District Transport Officer, District Public Relations Officer, Traffic and Headquarters DSPs, District Sports Officer, District Fire Officer, executive engineers of the electricity supply and road divisions, assistant municipal commissioners, along with officials from various departments, police personnel and agency teams, were present.
