Police Foil Crime Plot, Three Arrested with Illegal Pistol from Hotel in Deoghar

Deoghar Police late Saturday night thwarted a possible criminal incident by arresting three youths from a hotel in the Bilasi Town area. Police had received confidential information that some criminals had gathered at Hotel Shubham Vatika, allegedly partying while planning to execute a criminal act. Acting swiftly, senior officers were informed and a special team was formed to prevent any untoward incident.A raid was conducted at the hotel, during which three suspects were apprehended.

During the search, police recovered one illegal country-made pistol and one live cartridge from their possession. The arrested persons were identified as Nehal Mishra, 26, a resident of Chakravarti Lane under Nagar police station area; Ankit Jha alias Bushli, 25, a resident of Shivganga Lane under Nagar police station; and Dilip Kumar Yadav, 18, a resident of Khaprodeeh under Rikhia police station area in Deoghar district.

All the accused were brought to Deoghar Nagar Police Station, where a case was registered against them under Deoghar Nagar Police Station Case No. 46/2026 on the basis of a written complaint by the investigating officer. Police said that timely action helped avert a possible serious crime in the city.

Confirming the development, Sadar S.D.P.O. Ashok Kumar Singh said that the operation was carried out on the basis of reliable information and strict action is being taken against those involved in illegal activities. He added that further investigation is underway to identify possible associates and to verify the criminal antecedents of the arrested persons.
