64th Governing Council Meeting of RIMS: Green Signal for New 500-Bed IPD Facility

Ranchi - The 64th meeting of the Governing Council of RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences), Ranchi, was convened to review and discuss multiple significant matters. The key focus of the meeting was the proposed construction of a new IPD building at the institute. As per the proposal, a 500-bed IPD building is planned to be constructed in the DIG Ground premises.

Health Minister Irfan Ansari said that the new IPD building would lead to a substantial increase in bed availability at RIMS, helping to ease patient waiting periods and improve access to timely and quality treatment. He emphasized that the rising patient burden would be better balanced, thereby enhancing the overall healthcare infrastructure of the institute.

The meeting also approved several other important proposals, which will be implemented after the municipal elections conclude.
