Gautam Adani Launches Skill Training for Differently Abled and Cloud Kitchen in Dhanbad

New Delhi: Gautam Adani, Chairman and Founder of the Adani Group, on Tuesday inaugurated a vocational training initiative for differently abled individuals and a new cloud kitchen in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

Adani was in Dhanbad to participate in the centenary celebrations of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. As part of his visit, he toured Pehla Kadam, a school for differently abled children supported by the Narayani Charitable Trust.

At the facility, he opened a specialised vocational centre focused on food and beverage training, aimed at equipping disabled children with practical skills for future livelihoods.

Pehla Kadam’s Director, Anita Aggarwal, praised Adani for taking the time to meet each child individually and for committing substantial financial support.

“He promised ?1 crore annually for three years after seeing the work done for Divyang children and understanding our financial needs,” Aggarwal said. She described his visit as deeply inspiring and memorable.

Earlier in the day, speaking at IIT Dhanbad, Adani told students that they represent the next generation of “freedom fighters” who will help India achieve economic independence.

“You’re not just mining minerals—you’re mining dignity,” he said, urging the youth to dream big, innovate fearlessly, and strengthen India’s self-reliance by becoming the “custodians of the core.”
