Jharkhand Govt Completes One Year: CM Hemant Soren Hands Over 8,792 Appointment Letters

Ranchi – Marking the first anniversary of the Hemant Soren-led government’s second term, a grand state-level event was held at Ranchi’s Morabadi Ground on Friday, where the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to 8,792 newly selected candidates across various government departments.

The appointments spanned multiple posts, including Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Superintendents of Prisons, Jharkhand Education Service officers, District and Labour Superintendents, Probation Officers, Inspectors, Dentists, Assistant Professors, Entomologists, and other positions.

Speaking at the event, CM Soren highlighted the dual significance of the day, celebrating the first anniversary of his “Abua Sarkar” and the 25th year of Jharkhand’s formation. He noted that nearly 16,000 government recruitments had been completed in 2024 alone, with almost 9,000 appointment letters distributed this year.

He also shared that over 8,000 youths secured private-sector jobs in 2024, and between 2020 and 2024, the state generated around 24,000–25,000 government positions and approximately 28,000 private-sector opportunities.

Soren said the high turnout of youths reflected public trust and the transparency of the recruitment process. He paid tribute to the late Shibu Soren, acknowledging him as a guiding force behind Jharkhand’s statehood movement.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the recruitment process remained free from lobbying or corruption, criticized opposition attempts to disrupt it, and emphasized the inclusion of a significant number of women among the recruits. He urged the new officers to contribute actively to the state’s development and guide the youth in their respective districts.

Several cabinet ministers and public representatives attended the ceremony, including Radha Krishna Kishore, Irfan Ansari, Yogendra Prasad, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Sanjay Prasad, Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Deepika Pandey Singh, Hafizul Ansari, Chamra Linda, Deepak Birua, MP Mahua Maji, and MLA Kalpana Soren.
