Senior Journalist Srinivas to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Jharkhand Journalism Awards 2025

Ranchi: Veteran journalist Srinivas, retired from Prabhat Khabar, will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award and a cash prize of ?51,000 at the Jharkhand Journalism Awards 2025, jointly organized by the Ranchi Press Club and the RBS Vedic Trust.

The awards also recognize excellence across various categories. Shakil Akhtar, retired senior journalist from Prabhat Khabar, will receive the Best Reporting (Print) award, while Rajkumar Singh of Samacharwala has been selected for the Best Reporting (Electronic) category. Manik Bose, senior photojournalist with Dainik Bhaskar, will be honoured with the Best Photography (Print) award, and Rakesh Tiwari of AajTak will receive the Best Video Journalist (Electronic) award. Each of these awardees will receive a cash prize of ?25,000.

The awards ceremony will take place on November 2, 2025, at Hotel Rain Dew in Lalpur, Ranchi. The event’s chief guest will be senior journalist and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, who will personally felicitate the winners.

The jury panel that finalized the awardees comprised senior journalist and former Information Commissioner Baijnath Mishra, retired IAS officer Ranendra, former Ranchi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Sinha, Ranchi Press Club President Surendra Soren, and RBS Vedic Trust Chief Trustee Nityanand Shukla.
