Bizman shot, looted in Gumla, suspects on the run

Ranchi: A businessman was shot and robbed in broad daylight by unidentified assailants in Kasir Bazaar under Raidih police station area of Gumla district. The incident took place while the victim, identified as Rajkumar, was on his regular business visit to the market for purchasing paddy from villagers.

According to police, the initial investigation suggests the shooting was carried out with the intent of robbery. The attackers fled the scene after looting cash from the victim. As soon as information reached the authorities, Raidih police arrived at the spot and launched a probe.

Rajkumar sustained serious injuries and was referred to RIMS hospital in Ranchi for advanced treatment. Police have collected preliminary evidence from the crime scene and are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.
