Giridih: Police has arrested eight members of an interstate criminal gang from Dumri Police Station area of this district along with arms. Addressing a press conference here Giridih SP Surendra Kumar Jha said that he had received a secret tip-off that a gang of criminals had gathered in the area and were planning to execute a dacoity.
Following the tip-off a special team was constituted which surrounded the criminals who had gathered in Guraru forest and arrested eight criminals while few others managed to escape. He said that from the arrested 3 loaded pistols, three country-made bombs, spring knife, mobile, motorcycle, scooty and a tempo have been seized. Mr Jha said that all of them are professional criminals who have executed many incidents of loot and crime.
