46 year record broken in Daltonganj, Temperature reaches 47.5, people faces major Power Crisis in Ranchi

Daltonganj/Ranchi : Jharkhand is in the grip of Heat Wave.

The last 46-year record of heat in the state is about to be broken.

There was a drop in temperature in some areas of the state due to the Ramal storm, but in the last 24 hours the temperature in all the districts has increased by 3 to 8 degrees.

The mercury in Daltonganj was recorded at 47.5 degrees on Tuesday.

This is the second highest temperature in the month of May in the last 46 years.

Earlier on May 6, 1978, the maximum temperature was recorded at 47.8 degrees.

Here, in view of the increasing heat, the Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave orange alert in all the districts of the state.

Along with this, People of Ranchi faced a major power crisis in Ranchi on Wednesday.
