Jharkhand Government Officials conducted a high level meeting ahead of Ram Navmi Festival

Ranchi: Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel along with DGP Ajay Kumar Singh conducted a high meeting ahead of Ram Navmi Festival at Project Building in Ranchi on Saturday. Officials discussed the law and order situation of the state.

During the meeting all Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) of respective districts were present via video conferencing. Officials presented their views regarding the Ram Navmi Procession with the historical records of the last 3 years. Officials discussed the registered cases during Ram Navmi Procession.

Following guidelines and instructions issued regarding the procession.

• Licensed and non-licensed weapons in the Akharas, Routes of the Procession, Security status in the sensitive areas.
• Emergency Plans and Informing to Control room, Deployment of Forces and Patrolling Magistrate.
• Food and Drinking Water facility to Security Forces, Medical assistance to Forces.
• Videography of the Procession along with use of Drone for aerial surveillance.
• Monitoring of religious places from time to time.
• Officials instructed to make an optimum solution of the procession in sensitive areas.
• DJ sounds should not play controversial and inflamtarory songs.
• Police should keep vigil on Anti-Social Elements, special monitoring in Social media to prevent them from rumours.

During the meeting, Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel, Additional Director General of Police Sanjay Anand Lathkar, IPS Akhilesh Kumar Jha, and DIG South Chotanagpur Amol Venukant Homkar were present.
