Ranchi: Giving a big blow to the BJP in Santhal Pargana Hemlal Murmu has again come back to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha after nine years.
Hemlal Murmu joined JMM on Tuesday in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Bhognadih, the birthplace of the brave martyrs Sido-Kanhu in Barhait block of Sahibganj district. Along with Murmu, 4252 BJP workers also joined JMM.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren inducted Hemlalu Murmu into the party and said that Rajmahal has found one who fulfills the need of a good leader in the Lok Sabha.
Hemlal Murmu had joined BJP in 2014. When he was in the BJP, the BJP had made him contest the Lok Sabha and Vidhansabha elections from but he did not get success.
In the last assembly elections, the BJP did not give him a ticket from Barhait. After this, he started staying away from BJP. There was talk of taking membership of JMM on the foundation day of JMM itself in February, but due to some reason, it got postponed.
The return of Hemlal Murmu can increase the problems of Lobin Hembram. Now that Hemlal Murmu has returned, a clear message has been given to Lobin Hembram from JMM that if he is facing more problems in JMM then he can turn to BJP.
