Ranchi: A hearing was held on the suo moto cognizance taken by the High Court to prepare a modern jail manual in Jharkhand. The hearing was held on Thursday in the court of High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen.
During this, State Home Secretary Vandana Dadel appeared before the court. During this, the court asked her why the jail manual has not been made yet. On which the secretary assured the court that Jharkhand’s new jail manual would be ready in two months.
At the same time, the Advocate General told the court that the new jail is in the manual process, and it will be made soon. After which taking the secretary’s reply on record the court directed to complete the construction work soon.
Along with this, the court has been asked to inform about the complete information. In the last hearing, the court wanted to know from the state government by when the jail manual would be ready.
On which the court expressed its displeasure due to not getting a positive reply from the government, and ordered the Home Secretary to appear and answer the questions of the court. On the same order, the Home Secretary appeared in court on Thursday.
