Chief Minister felicitates women for better work in the field of water conservation and cleanliness

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren felicitated Munni Devi, head of Pithoria Panchayat of Kanke block of Ranchi Parvati Devi member of Markachcho Panchayat Samiti of Koderma district, for her special contribution in the field of Jal Jeevan Mission, water conservation and cleanliness. 

Pooja Devi, a ward member of Arkocha Panchayat located in Markachcho block and Parvati Devi of Lakshmipur panchayat of Domchanch block of Koderma district were also felicitated. The Chief Minister congratulated them for doing better work.

The Chief Minister took information from all of them about the work and activities being done by them and appreciated them. Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur was also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that life cannot be imagined without water. In such a situation, water conservation is an urgent need of today. The Chief Minister said that they should run a campaign for water conservation and plant more and more trees and connect others with it because, only with collective effort can we achieve success in this.

President Draupadi Murmu had honoured her in a program organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 4 March 2023. Munni Devi was the only head of Jharkhand in this program, who was honoured with the Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman-2023. She had received this honour for the successful operation and maintenance of the Multi Rural Water Supply Scheme. At the same time Parvati Devi was honoured by the Union Jal Shakti Minister for Jal Shakti Abhiyan.

Whereas Pooja Devi was honoured for doing better work in the field of ODF Plus (Sanitation). Secretary of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Manish Ranjan, Chief Engineer Sanjay Kumar Jha, Special Secretary Rajeev Ranjan, Joint Secretary PN Mishra, Executive Engineer Anil Gupta and other officers were present on this occasion.
