In DNA of tribals there is no place for fear and threat: Hemant

Latehar: Amid the ongoing political frenzy going on in Jharkhand over the office of profit row Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that in the DNA of the tribals there is no place for fear and threat.

Addressing the people after inaugurating the Vikas Mela in Tutuwapani Mode of this district he said that the tribals are the descendants of Dharti Abba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sidho-Kanhu and Chand Bhairav and doing revolutions for the rights and the Jal Jungle and Zameen is in the blood of the tribals.

He said that for the last 30 years people had been gathering on March 22 and 23 year over the demand of getting back the land of the firing range. He said that Guruji had also participated in the agitation and he was fortunate to have got the opportunity to take a decision in favour of the agitators. He said that the land will now remain with the original owners and cases imposed against all the people will be taken back.

The Chief Minister said that it was really unfortunate that on the occasion of World Tribal Day the Prime Minister did not even wish the community as for him people here are forest dwellers and not tribals.

The Chief Minister along with others also observed a two minutes silence as a mark of respect towards the departed souls killed during the Netarhaat firing range agitation. Later he also felicitated the kin and family members of Kendriya Jan Sangharsh Samiti and those of the martyrs.

The Chief Minister said that he fully understands the pain of the martyred, harassed and displaced people in the firing range movement. Water, forest and land are everything for us he said adding that when the firing range was established in 1965, the villages here were displaced and the displaced had to face many difficulties. “Today, until we take back this land and cultivate it with a plough and bull, our true tribute to the martyrs of this movement will not be complete, “ he said.

The Chief Minister said that organizing a development fair among the litigants of Netarhat is an effort to see whether the welfare scheme of the government is reaching the native, tribals, village people, farmer brother or not. He said that assets worth crores are being distributed among the beneficiaries and in the future also the work of connecting people with public welfare schemes will continue.

He said that his government is working to bring smiles to the face of every Jharkhandis. Those who have been linked with the schemes have got a smile on their faces and people are also happy to think that the government is working for their interest he said.

The Chief Minister said that the government is working to prepare schemes for the welfare of the people. He said that recently the government celebrated Tribal Festival to honour the tribals. In this, along with the tribal brothers of the state, the tribal brothers of the adjoining states also came and there was an exchange of culture between them.

He said that today text books and clothes were distributed to poor children for reading. People are being benefited by various schemes of the government he said adding that along with this for the all round development of this area the foundation stone of the important schemes of the government and the completed schemes are also being inaugurated.
