Training cum awareness program organised for traffic police personnel

Ranchi: Traffic police will now be seen taking action more effectively against the violators of traffic rules in Ranchi. A training-cum- awareness program was organized at Shri Krishna Public Service Administration Institute on Tuesday to successfully operate the e-challan machine for violating traffic rules.

During the program Joint Transport Commissioner Ravi Shankar Vidyarthi, District Transport Officer Ranchi Praveen Kumar Prakash, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Jeetvahan Oraon, Deputy Superintendent of Police-2 (Traffic) Kapinder Oraon, Puneet and Rahul Kumar of NIC and Transport Department PMU staff were present.

The training was started by Joint Transport Commissioner Ravi Shankar Vidyarthi. He gave detailed information to the police officers present regarding the compliance of the Motor Act and under which section action should be taken in case of violation.
District Transport Officer Praveen Kumar Prakash gave detailed information about all the sections one by one, regarding how to impose fines under various sections of the Motor Act. 

He also informed about how to impose a fine under section 199A against the guardian in case of driving by a minor. The District Transport Officer also told about how to impose a fine under section 210B for violation of traffic rules by an enforcement officer. 

During the training cum awareness programme, SI, ASI and traffic policemen were informed about the use of e-challan machine. In two shifts, the representatives of NIC and HDFC Bank apprised everyone about the usage of the machine and the technical problems and solutions encountered during this period. 

Everyone was informed that the software of the machine has been updated for receiving payment through an on-spot QR code.
