Jharkhand government has never been serious over OBC reservation: Sudesh Mahto

Ranchi: AJSU party’s central president Sudesh Kumar Mahto has once again targeted the state government on the issue of OBC reservation. He said that the State Government did not show seriousness on this to ensure that the benefit of reservation for the backward classes could be ensured in the Panchayat elections nor did anyone intervene.

The government kept avoiding doing triple tests. Appreciating the order of the Supreme Court on the amendment petition filed by the government regarding panchayat and civic elections in Madhya Pradesh, he said that in Jharkhand also, necessary steps could be taken regarding the reservation of OBCs before the panchayat elections.

But the Jharkhand government directly turned its back on the triple test, highlighting the difficulties in the allocation of central funds.
