Chance of light rain in many districts from Thursday

Ranchi: A low-pressure area is forming over the state due to which the weather pattern in many districts can change from Thursday onwards. 

If the predictions of the local weather station are to be believed light rain and thundershowers may occur at isolated places over Santal Parganas and Central Jharkhand with which the people can get relief from the heat.

However, the havoc of heat will continue in the Palamu division and the heatwave will also blow. According to the Weatherman a cyclonic circulation is forming in Jharkhand. A turf formed from this is going from west to Assam and due to this, light to moderate rain may occur till April 22.

The eastern and central parts of the state will remain cloudy and there may be thundering also. During this period the wind speed can be 30 to 40 kmph. On April 22, the wind speed can be 40 to 50 km. From 23 onwards the weather will become dry again. Meanwhile, heatwave conditions continued to prevail in Ranchi and Daltonganj.

In the last 20 years, the maximum temperature of the capital Ranchi has crossed 41 degrees celsius on the second occasion. On 27 April 2016, the maximum temperature of the capital reached 42.4 degrees celsius. This year the maximum temperature reached 41.6 degrees celsius on Tuesday. Prior to this, the temperature above 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in 1999.
