Gun battle between Maoist and security forces in Lohardaga

Lohardaga: On Sunday once again a gun battle took place between the maoists and the security forces inside Bulbul Forest under Pesrar Police Station area of this district.

Police sources said that at frequent intervals bullets were exchanged between the two sides. Following the search operation some arms, cartridges and bag packs have been recovered.

Security forces in separate groups over the last 96 hours are being conducting search operations in the area during which on three occasions gun battle has taken place between the two sides.

Moreover the maoists have also planted IEDs around their camp due to which the jawans are adopting extra caution in moving forward. So far three jawans have been injured in different land mine blasts. In the operation so far 6 bunkers have been also destroyed.
