Chill and shiver return as clouds give away to clear skies in state clouds cleared

Ranchi: In the first week of the new year, there is a possibility of a cold wave sweeping across Western North India to East and Central India. The dense fog remained in Ranchi till 8 am on the first day of the new year. On the other hand, chill has once again returned to Ranchi after the clouds have cleared. The minimum temperature has decreased by about 2 degrees celsius. The temperature on Thursday was 13.1 degrees celsius, which dropped to 11.2 degrees celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, till January 4, the temperature will continue to drop across the state including Ranchi. The temperature can drop to 4 degree celsius. Scientists at the local weather station said that the north, northwest and central parts of the state will see more drop in minimum temperatures. Due to westerly winds, there will be a drop in temperature in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti and Palamu. In the first week of the new year, there is a possibility of cold wave from western North India to East and Central India. The drop in temperature will continue till January 3.

According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is going to knock in the Himalayan region on January 4. Due to this, the temperature of Jharkhand will also drop by 3 to 4 degrees. After this, there will no significant change in the temperature of the state. There will be fog or mist in the morning and later the sky will be clear.
