Secretary Rural Development and Mnrega Commissioner review execution of projects with DDCs

Ranchi: Secretary of the Rural Development Department Manish Ranjan and Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B reviewed the progress in the execution of the schemes through video conferencing with all the Deputy Development
Commissioners of the state. In the meeting the Secretary, Rural Development Department first took information about the Mnrega work being conducted in various districts of the state and expressed strong displeasure over the work not being done as per the target. Secretary Dr Manish Ranjan said that Mnrega is not a scheme but it is a powerful means of generating employment for the villagers. He instructed to understand the pain of the workers and fulfill the target in time.

During this, he directed all the Deputy Development Commissioners to ensure that the schemes operated by Mnrega are visible on the ground, while monitoring the Mnrega work thoroughly. In the meeting, many other important instructions were given to the Deputy Development Commissioners regarding the schemes operated by Mnrega. During the review all the Deputy Development Commissioners were directed to expedite the work of Didi Bagiya and prepare the nursery. Officials said that the purpose of Didi Bagiya is to take women on the path of self-reliance and make them financially strong.

During the review, Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B took stock of progress in the execution of plans for the financial year 2019-20 and also took information about pending schemes. All Deputy Development Commissioners were instructed to complete the work plan without delay. She directed that the works of Mnrega parks to be built in all the blocks should be expedited.0

During the review of Mnrega works, GIS best planning and geotagging were also reviewed by her and instructions were given to improve it within a week. She directed to ensure100 percent successful transaction while improving 1386 pending rejected transactions in Latehar district of Palamu division under Mnrega. Along with this, she gave strict instructions to all the Block Development Officers, Block Program Officers, Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers through the Area Officer App to inspect 50-50 ongoing schemes very month and upload their report on the App. She also directed to upload the presence of labourers contained in muster rolls in all gram panchayats by capturing them through NMMS App through Meth. 

The Mnrega commissioner expressed displeasure over not taking action on the cases received in the order of social audit. Along with this, according to the decision taken by the jury, while recovering the amount, strict instructions were given to upload the ATR on Mnrega Software.
