DC chairs district level committee meet over prematric scholarships

Ranchi: A meeting of the District Level Committee was organized for the approval of payment of scholarships to the eligible students of schools under the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Backward Castes Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme 2021-22. Project Director ITDA Ranchi, District Welfare Officer, District Education Superintendent, District Education Officer, Treasury Officer, Lead Bank Manager were present in the meeting organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman of the committee Chhavi Ranjan.

In the meeting, after approval from the blocks of the Ranchi district and countersigned by the District Education Officer/District Education Superintendent, a list of 80,181 students of 1,033 schools was placed before the committee for approval of scholarship. After deliberation, the committee approved the Aadhar mapped students and approved to transfer the payment of pre-matric scholarship through PFMS to the account of the students through Aadhar enabled DBT.

In the meeting, the Project Director ITDA/ District Welfare Officer Ranchi was authorized to deny scholarship to the schools/students found in ineligible before the payment of scholarship.
