JAC 10th board results: Giridih emerges as best performing district, Dumka worst

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council on Thursday declared the results for the 10th board examination which is quite different from the earlier occasions.

For the first time in history of JAC the results have been declared without  conducting the examination and it is also the first occasion when more than 90 percent students have passed the exams with overall pass percentage being 95.93 percent.

As far as district wise performance is considered Dumka has performed the worst while Giridih was the best performer. In Giridih 97.82 percent have passed the exams while in Dumka the pass percentage was 92.8.

In five districts of the state the passing percentage among the students was above 97 percent. Koderma reported passing percentage of 97.7 followed by Simdega at 97.40 percent, Hazaribagh at 97.37 percent and Ranchi was at fifth position with 91.17 percent.

As far as passing percentage among boys and girls is considered it is almost neck to neck with girls securing a passing percentage of 96 percent and boys registering pass percentage of 95.9.

In the exams 2,07,879 boys had appeared out of which 1,99,358 have been declared pass while out of 2,25,692 girls, 2,16,566 have come with flying colours. Overall 4,33,571 students had appeared in the exams out of which 4,15,924 have been declared passed.
