100 jawans of IRB deputed in RIMS to help patients

Ranchi: Amid the crowd of patients in RIMS the jawans of India Reserve Battalion have taken charge who will now be extending help to the doctors and nurses in saving the lives of the patients.

At present 100 jawans of IRB-9 have been deputed at the hospital and they have been provided training in providing initial treatment to the patients so that if any patient arrives at the hospital in serious condition their primary aid can be done.

Additional Director of RIMS and Joint Secretary of Health Department Waghmare Prasad Krishna said that the jawans of the IRB have been trained to operate the oxygen cylinders. He said that it has been often seen that when patients turn up at the hospital there is no one even to provide them with oxygen and in such a scenario these jawans will be helpful.

Waghmare said that the jawans will be posted at trauma centre, emergency and the wards and lauded the cooperation which has been extended by the Jharkhand Police.

Head constable of IRB-9 Ajay Singh that their sole motto is to be provide help to the patients and they will be going to any extent to help the needy.

A woman constable said that it was a matter of pride that they have been given an opportunity to save the lives of the people. She said that apart from oxygen supply they will be take all necessary steps which can help needy.
