Ranchi: Health Secretary KK Soan has tested positive for Coronavirus after which he has gone into home isolation from Tuesday.
In his place Development Commissioner Arun Singh has been given the charge of the health. On April 7 the Health Secretary had taken the Corona vaccine.
The health secretary was at the forefront in the battle against Coronavirus in the state and was chairing dozens of meetings every day. On Saturday also he had participated in a meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
On January 22 KK Soan had been appointed the Health Secretary by replacing Dr Nitin Madan Kulkarni.
In the month of April itself 10 IAS officers have tested positive for Coronavirus which also included ADM Lokesh Mishra. He was detected positive on April 2 and was also hospitalised. Apart from him officers including Megha Bhardwaj, Prashant Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Ardhana Patnail and K Srinivasan etc have tested positive for Covid-19.
