Hemant Soren kicks off JMM's campaign for West Bengal Assembly polls, addresses rally in Jhargram

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday kicked off the campaign for Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal by addressing an election rally in Jhargram.

Speaking in the event held at Jamda Utarnarayan Maidan Hemant Soren said that the present government consists of such people who have done nothing for the country but they are the one who are selling the assets of the country including trains and airports and said that day was not far when 'blood will become cheaper and water costlier'.

He said at present the situation of the tribals, dalits and minorities were worrisome in the country and in future they will have to struggle for their rights. He said that the manner in which new laws are being framed the poor will be most impacted.

The Chief Minister said that the forefathers had given the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kissan but now it appears that the farmers have no place in this country.

He said that at present time the elections are being fought on the basis of money and muscle power. He said that these people with use of money power can change the laws and even sell the assets of the country. Hemant Soren said that the poor and the tribals will not be able to take their rights through use of money but it occasionally some people rise to give reply to these forces. He said that when people were wanting separate state and Guruji had talked about a movement others had laughed at him but he had fixed his target which was managed to attain.

He said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will once again be back in the area so that tribals, dalits and poor are not denied their dues. He said that the party was holding its first programme and was not worried about the crowd turnout and promised that in days to come the organisation of the JMM will be active across the state which will help to realise the old dreams.

Cabinet Minister Champai Soren, MLA Sameer Mohanty, Ramdas Soren, Supriyo Bhattacharya and others addressed the programme.
