Body of youth recovered from Jonha fall in Ranchi

The body of a 25-year-old man from Kolkata, who drowned at Jonha Falls in Ranchi district, was recovered by a team of local divers and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

The deceased was identified as Md Talha Firdaus. According to reports, he had visited Jonha Falls on Sunday along with his uncle and cousins.

Firdaus reportedly lost his footing while at the waterfall and was swept into the water. His family members immediately informed the police following the incident.

Local divers and an NDRF team launched a search operation to locate him. However, despite efforts over the next two days, the body could not initially be traced.

The body was eventually recovered from the waters of the waterfall on Tuesday.

Firdaus reportedly owned a clothes shop in Kolkata.
