Deoghar: On Monday large number of devotees turned up at Baba Baidyanath Dham temple to offer obeisance and Jala-Abhishek as the doors have been opened for devotees from all over the country.

Not only from Jharkhand but devotees from many neighbouring states and from adjoining districts of Bihar also lined up at the temple to offer their prayers. The district administration is ensuring that the devotees follow social distancing while they enter and come out of the temple.

Devotees are offering Jala-Abhishek to Baba Baidyanath through the Argha system. Earlier only 200 people from Jharkhand only were allowed to offer Jala-Abhishek at the temple but now 1,000 people are being allowed inside during a day.

On Monday people had lined outside the temple to pay their obeisance. The temple would be opened for devotees till 1400hrs and every hour a total of 125 devotees are being allowed inside. However, to get inside the temple people have to get their e-pass made.

In wake of rising turnout, the district administration has deployed additional police and magistrates at the temple. Thermal screening of the people is being performed after which via Mansarovar footbridge and Sanskar Mandal the people are being made to come inside while through the VIP gate they are being asked to leave the premises.

Devotees are not allowed to perform 'Sparsh Puja'. Further policemen and magistrates have been also deployed near Mansinghi and Shivganga.
