Private labs to charge maximum of Rs 1,500 for Corona test

Ranchi: The state government has fixed the rate of Coronavirus test in private labs at Rs 1,500.

An order in this regard has been issued by the Health Department. As per the order earlier, the rate of Coronavirus test in private hospitals was fixed at Rs 2,400 but with the cost of RT-PCR test and VTM kit coming down the rate has been changed and fixed at Rs 1,500.

The order said that in case the private labs charge more than Rs 1,500 than action would be taken against them as per the provisions of Jharkhand State Epidemic Disease (Covid-19) regulation 2020.
