:Ranchi: A sub zonal commander of the proscribed People's Liberation Front of India has been arrested by Ranchi Police.
Ranchi SSP Surendra Jha on Friday said that the arrested has been identified as Parmeshwar Gope alias Prem Gope who was arrested from a rented accommodation under Tatisilwai Police Station area. The PLFI sub zonal commander originally hails from Palkot of Gumla district.
A total of 27 cases are registered against the ultra in different police stations. Ranchi SSP Surendra Jha had received a tip off that the ultra was living in a rented accommodation in Tatisilwai area after which a team under Ranchi Rural SP Naushad Aalam conducted raids and arrested the ultra.
Out of the 27 cases which are registered against Gope 8 are in Palkot, 7 in Basia, 1 in Raidih and 11 in Gumla Police Stations. All of them are related to murder, extortion and arms act.
