Locals stage demonstrations against decision to convert hotels into quarantine centres

Ranchi: Locals in Station road of the state capital erupted in protest against the decision of the district administration to convert few hotels located in the area into quarantine facilities.

The people said that since the infection was rapidly spreading in the capital therefore it was not correct to have quarantine facilities in a densely populated as there was chances of the virus spreading further. They demanded the administration to build or identify quarantine facilities outside the city so that people of the area can remain in peace.

The agitators demanded the authorities to withdraw the order or else they would be trying locks outside such hotels that have been identified to be used as quarantine facilities.

The district administration has identified 5 hotels in the Station Road area to he converted into quarantine facilities where suspected patients of Coronavirus will be kept and in return the patients would have to make payment on per day basis.
