Koderma: A team of the Anti Corruption Bureau has arrested a Panchayat Sevak while accepting a bribe of Rs 12,000 from Markachho block of this district.
The arrested has been identified as Vijay Sharma who was panchayat Sevak of Dasharo panchayat. A complaint against him was registered with the Hazaribagh bureau of the ACB.
The complainant had alleged that the Panchayat Sevak was demanding the bribe to clear a pending bill of a Mnrega project.
After the verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the man was arrested as soon as money exchanged hands. Later the arrested was taken to Hazaribagh.
