Safety Awareness Programme organised for Housewives of SAIL & Mecon

Ranchi: As a part of 49th National Safety Day celebrations - 2020, under the guidance of Executive Director, SSO Shri KK Jha, a ‘Safety Awareness Programme’ for Housewives was organised by SAIL Safety Organisation, Ranchi on Tuesday at Ispat Executive Hostel (IEH), SAIL Satellite Township, Ranchi.

The programme was organised in association with M/s Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) & M/s Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) and was attended by about 126 Housewives & Lady employees of SAIL & MECON. Mrs. Sunita Jha and Dr. (Mrs.) Alka Arora, President, Ispat Mahila Samaj & Mrs. PM Hemrom, CGM (P&A), RDCIS graced the occasion along with other office bearers of Ispat Mahila Samaj & Shyamali Mahila Milan.

At the outset, Shri S Vashishta, CGM (Safety), SSO welcomed the dignitaries, participants & representatives from IOCL & GAIL and highlighted the importance of safety in all spheres of life. A presentation covering various aspects of Safety was delivered by SSO.

It was followed by a presentation by Shri Nandlal Kushwaha, LPG Sales Officer, IOCL on Safe usage of LPG. Team from M/s GAIL comprising Shri Shiv Prasad Dixit, Sr. Manager (Marketing), Shri Saurav Anand, Manager (Fire & Safety) & Pankaj Biswas, Manager (Projects) led by Shri SS Khuntia, DGM (Fire & Safety) delivered presentation covering Safety aspects of PNG (Piped Natural Gas). Practical tips on fuel conservation were also shared with the participants.

This was followed by a Quiz by IOCL & GAIL which received an enthusiastic response from the participants and the winners were awarded on-the-spot. Attractive gifts were distributed to all participants for attending the programme. Shri Umesh Kumar Sahu, AGM (Safety), SSO compered the programme.
