Mumbai — For Sayani Gupta, the recently released series Glory wasn’t just about intense boxing drama—it also came with a real-life scheduling challenge.
The actress revealed how she navigated overlapping shoot dates between Glory and her debut production Aasmani. Despite the pressure, she managed to strike a balance between her dual roles as an actor and a creator.
Taking to Instagram, Sayani shared behind-the-scenes moments from the premiere of Glory along with a heartfelt note. She spoke about her long association with creators Karan Anshuman and Mohit Shah, recalling collaborations on projects like Inside Edge and Baar Baar Dekho. She expressed pride in seeing them build their banner and bring Glory to Netflix.
She shared that although she had been promised a role in Glory years ago, the real challenge came when its shoot clashed with the filming schedule of Aasmani. For nearly two weeks, the teams worked to resolve the conflict, creating anxious moments for everyone involved.
With the support of her collaborators, including Nishant Pandey, the scheduling issues were eventually sorted. Sayani admitted she feared missing out on the opportunity to work with close friends but was relieved when things fell into place.
Reflecting on the experience, she described it as a “full circle” moment. While Aasmani premiered at international platforms and picked up two awards, Glory released around the same time—marking a significant milestone in her career.
Balancing both projects, Sayani said, was deeply fulfilling, allowing her to explore storytelling from both sides of the camera.
