Kubbra Sait speaks out against unrealistic body standards in social media era

Mumbai — Actress Kubbra Sait has shared her thoughts on the growing pressure of unrealistic body standards in the age of social media, saying that insecurity often comes from within rather than from the platforms themselves.

In an exclusive interaction, Kubbra said people tend to blame social media for their insecurities instead of questioning their own mindset. “We often blame the medium, but the real question is — why are we insecure in the first place? If you believe in yourself, no platform can make you feel insecure,” she explained.

The actress added that she personally chooses not to alter her appearance beyond maintaining basic fitness, but respects individual choices. “That’s my decision. If someone else chooses differently, that’s their call. We need to stop judging others and focus on our own lives. Security or insecurity comes from within, not from social media,” she noted.

Reflecting on her journey as an actor, Kubbra said growth begins with opportunity. She stressed the importance of staying consistent, disciplined, and excited about one’s work. “When you get a chance, don’t lose it — that’s where growth lies. I always had clarity within me: ‘mujhe yeh karna hi hai,’” she said.

She also recalled her decision to move to Mumbai, describing it as a turning point. Before entering the entertainment industry, Kubbra had a well-paying job abroad but questioned whether she was truly happy. “The day I came here, my journey started making sense. When you work consistently at something that brings you joy, your path unfolds step by step,” she shared.

Expressing gratitude, she concluded that the people she has worked with inspired her and gave her courage. “The results I’ve received are far beyond my imagination. I feel very grateful,” Kubbra added.
