Aneet Padda’s sister faces backlash over ‘propaganda’ remark on Dhurandhar 2, Priyanka Chopra

Aneet Padda’s sister Preet Padda has sparked a controversy online after calling *Dhurandhar 2* a “propaganda film” and seemingly taking a dig at global star Priyanka Chopra for her silence during the recent Academy Awards over the “Free Palestine” slogan. 

Preet’s comments quickly went viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism from several users who accused her of spreading misinformation and lacking geopolitical understanding. Although she did not directly mention Priyanka Chopra, many netizens believed her “dodo bird” remark was aimed at the actor.

Users on X reacted strongly to the post, with one saying there is a “fine line between being liberal and being stupid,” while defending *Dhurandhar 2* and arguing that the film draws from both real and fictional events. Another user criticised Aneet, alleging she had earlier followed political commentator Hasan Piker and later unfollowed him after backlash.

Some users also questioned the relevance of the debate itself. One comment read, “Who is Aneet Padda? Who is Aneet Padda’s sister? How does her opinion matter?” Others echoed similar sentiments, suggesting that the controversy unnecessarily amplified a personal opinion.

Another post warned that the remarks could affect Aneet’s career, while some questioned why her sister’s views were becoming a topic of discussion at all.

Aneet Padda gained attention with her debut film Saiyaara, where she starred opposite Ahaan Panday. The actress herself has not publicly responded to the controversy so far.
