Sonakshi Batra: Lord Ram’s Life Inspires the Path of Righteousness

Mumbai — Actress Sonakshi Batra, who plays the lead role in the TV show Jagadhatri, has shared her deep spiritual connection with Lord Ram, calling his life a guiding force for living with truth and righteousness.

Speaking ahead of Ram Navami, the actress described the occasion as deeply meaningful. She said the festival holds a special place in her heart, as her family comes together to offer prayers, seek blessings, and share prasad lovingly prepared at home.

Expressing her faith, Sonakshi said she draws inspiration from Lord Ram’s values of truth, patience, strength, and compassion. “His life is a reminder of how one should walk the path of righteousness,” she noted, adding that even listening to the Ramayana fills her with peace and positivity, helping her reconnect with herself.

Apart from her spiritual reflections, the actress also spoke about a recent high-intensity sequence in the show. During a dramatic Holi episode, her character Jagadhatri risks her life to save Gunjan, played by Pari Bhanushali, who gets trapped in a sudden fire due to an evil plot by Tapasya, portrayed by Yesha Harsora.

In the gripping scene, Jagadhatri and Shivaay, played by Farman Haider, bravely step in to rescue the child, with Jagadhatri jumping into the fire to bring her to safety.

Sharing her experience, Sonakshi said action sequences have become one of her favourite aspects of the show. She admitted that the fire stunt was particularly challenging, requiring precision, focus, and strict safety measures. She also praised young co-actor Pari for her discipline and ability to follow instructions carefully during such demanding scenes.
