Dhanush Calls Happy Raj a ‘Super Funny’ Entertainer

Chennai — Actor-filmmaker Dhanush has given a big thumbs-up to G. V. Prakash Kumar’s upcoming film Happy Raj, describing it as a “super funny and surprisingly touching” entertainer.

Taking to X, Dhanush shared that he had already watched the film and praised the effort of the entire team. “I have seen the film and it’s a super funny and surprisingly touching one… Wishing the best of luck,” he wrote.

Directed by Maria Elanchezian, the light-hearted romantic entertainer features G. V. Prakash Kumar in the titular role alongside Sri Gouri Priya. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 27.

The shoot for the film wrapped up in January, with the team reportedly completing schedules smoothly and celebrating the occasion with a cheerful photo session. According to sources, the production journey was marked by a positive and collaborative atmosphere, reflecting the film’s feel-good theme.

Backed by Beyond Pictures and produced by Jayavardhan, the film is said to be a wholesome entertainer rooted in everyday joy, relatable emotions, and optimism.

G. V. Prakash Kumar’s portrayal of Happy Raj is expected to bring charm and freshness to the screen, while Sri Gouri Priya adds emotional depth as the female lead. One of the major highlights of the film is the return of veteran actor Abbas, whose comeback after a long break has already created buzz among fans.

The film also features a supporting cast including George Mariyam, Prarthna, Adhirchi Arun, Madurai Muthu, and Sofa Boy Rasool in key roles.

With music by Justin Prabhakaran and cinematography by Madhan Christopher, Happy Raj is shaping up to be a breezy, feel-good watch aimed at audiences across age groups.
