Sandeepa Dhar says her ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ role reshaped her outlook on comparison

Sandeepa Dhar has revealed that her role in the upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein helped transform her perspective on life, teaching her the emotional impact of constant comparison.

The actress shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures from Do Deewane Seher Mein on Instagram, featuring co-star Mrunal Thakur. Along with the photos, she wrote an emotional note reflecting on how her character helped her realise that comparison often robs individuals of happiness.

She highlighted how phrases like comparing siblings or relatives are common experiences for many people. Referring to the popular cultural stereotype of comparing children with an idealised achiever, she said she never fully understood its emotional weight until she portrayed a sisterly relationship in the film that felt deeply personal.

In the movie, Dhar plays Naina, while Thakur portrays Roshni. She explained that the story explores the damaging effects of constant comparison between siblings. According to her, Naina struggles under pressure to maintain exceptionally high standards, whereas Roshni battles feelings of inadequacy. Dhar noted that such comparisons can create rivalry, conditional affection, and emotional scars that may take years to heal. She added that casual remarks from parents, teachers, or relatives can leave lasting psychological impressions.

The film also features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ayesha Raza in key roles. The project is produced by Zee Studios and Bhansali Productions, with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal, and Bharat Kumar Ranga as producers, in association with Ravi Udyawar Films.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres on February 20, 2026.
