Mumbai - Actress Ashnoor Kaur, who began facing the camera at the age of four-and-a-half, has spoken candidly about her journey of self-acceptance, body image, and confidence during a heartfelt conversation with actress Soha Ali Khan on her podcast.
Reflecting on growing up in the public eye, Ashnoor said that emotional experiences often leave a deep impact. “A lot of it starts mentally. A lot of trauma gets stored in your body. Be easy on yourself. Be at peace,” she shared.
The actress also addressed the pressure of constant scrutiny and how it affected her relationship with her body, noting that public expectations can make self-acceptance particularly challenging.
Speaking about the reality show *Bigg Boss 19*, Ashnoor described the environment as “toxic” and highlighted how insecurity persists even among those who appear confident. “The episode that happened. The audacity of the people inside the house. No matter how good-looking they are, they still feel that they are not good enough, and that’s so sad,” she said.
Ashnoor admitted to experimenting with numerous fitness routines and diets in her pursuit of confidence, before realising that external measures alone do not bring lasting self-assurance. “I’ve literally tried everything — from tapping myself to being on a water diet, keto, different workouts, and countless trainers. Nothing worked,” she revealed.
Soha Ali Khan shared a glimpse of the conversation on Instagram, describing the episode as a reflection on body image, confidence, and how women often learn to view themselves through the perceptions of others. The post noted that the discussion explored growing up under scrutiny and navigating health, appearance, and self-worth in the public eye.
The caption further mentioned a “deeply honest and insightful conversation” with Ashnoor Kaur, along with motivational speaker Shalini, who added perspectives on confidence, body language, presence, and self-expression.
Ashnoor made her acting debut in 2009 with *Jhansi Ki Rani* and is best known for her roles in *Saath Nibhaana Saathiya*, *Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha*, *Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai*, *Patiala Babes*, and *Suman Indori*.
