Mumbai: Actress Elnaaz Norouzi says that stepping into the adult-comedy space with Mastiii 4 initially made her hesitant, especially given how strongly audiences react to bold humour today. However, she was ultimately convinced by how the script “goes beyond what the franchise has done before”.
Speaking to IANS about what persuaded her to take on the project and how she views changing audience perceptions toward bold, unapologetic comedy, Elnaaz said:
“I agree with you — this was a concern for me as well. But when you read the script, the story evolves differently. While it is pure entertainment, it elevates itself from its previous versions.”
She added that playing the character Bindiya offered her something new:
“I felt this character would present me in a different light compared to my earlier roles. As an actor, you always want to showcase your range, and Bindiya allowed me that opportunity.”
Mastiii 4, directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, is the fourth instalment in the popular Masti franchise. The sex comedy once again features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani in lead roles.
The story revolves around three friends — Amar, Meet, and Prem — who feel suffocated by monotonous married life and yearn for the excitement of their younger days. When they come across the idea of a “Love Visa” that promises a week of complete freedom, they jump at the chance. But their adventure turns chaotic when their wives decide to bend the rules too.
Elnaaz Norouzi began her career as a model at age 14 in Germany. She made her film debut in the Pakistani movie Maan Jao Na (2017) as Raania. She entered Indian entertainment with the role of Zoya in Netflix’s Sacred Games and later appeared in projects like Hello Charlie, Chutzpah, Tehran, Abhay, Khido Khundi, and Made in Heaven. In June 2025, she joined the reality show The Traitors and was eliminated on Day 7.
